I am a pure romantic for any Fairmont Banff Springs Mountain wedding and after getting home from the first time I met with Sonia and Vince, I remember telling my husband how much I needed to shoot their wedding. It was like I fell in love at first site with these two and wanted to capture and witness their love and vows for each other and couldn’t stand the thought of anyone else capturing it.. It needed to be me!! lol. As fate would have it they called me the next day and my world was complete.
On their Wedding day the plan was originally to have the wedding ceremony at Tunnel Mountain in Banff AB but the rain was so heavy and the air was so cold that, the morning of, the call was made to move it all into Mount Stephen Hall in the Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel. It’s incredible how plan B ends up being equally as beautiful as pan A. A Fairmont Banff Springs mountain wedding is always a good idea and I honestly feel like you can’t get a more classic venue in the mountains anywhere in Canada. It’s definitely my favourite and I’m proud to have shot many wedding there!
The rain continued threwout the day into our formals time but I asked them to trust me and they did.. Braving rain wind and muddy ground we worked together to create some amazing imagery that speaks volumes to why you should always trust your photographer.. And have the faith that they will always have your best intentions and wishes in mind. It’s everything to me for my couples to have the day of their dreams and to be able to remember it exactly as it was. threw the rain and the wind and the tears and the joy.
